Stem Veda is a non-profit organization for kids from underserved or underrepresented communities that focuses on providing opportunities to learn about and engage with STEM subjects. The goal is to nurture the next generation of fearless leaders, so they can assume their role in society and help create a more diverse and well-prepared future workforce. As the lead designer, I was tasked to redesign the website that has an outdated and inconsistent content, links, and layout. The design challenge is to build off from existing design with a limited resources, time and budget.
Design Process
The content are provided from the existing website, so I spent most of the time on redesigning the layout,  customizing the theme, and make sure all the colors and font are consistent.
As I have the full control of customizing the entire website on Wordpress, I made changes directly on the website. There are a lot of information on the website, and simplifying the content is one of the design challenges.

Results and Reflection
I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to serve as the lead designer for this remarkable non-profit organization, one that is driven by an inspiring mission and a visionary outlook. Our primary aim is to uplift underserved students from various corners of the world, empowering them to unlock their full academic potential. In a mere two weeks, we successfully brought this project to fruition, which included ongoing communications and collaboration with the organization's passionate founder.
This experience has provided me with profound insights into the paramount importance of accentuating the tangible impact of our work. By quantifying our accomplishments through measurable metrics such as the number of students we've reached, the funds we've raised, and the pressing needs of our target audience—high school students—we can convey our mission more effectively and inspire greater support.
Our overarching goal with this project is to bolster the non-profit's online presence, ultimately driving increased traffic and securing additional funding opportunities. To achieve this, we have strategically incorporated a range of compelling calls to action (CTAs) throughout our design. These CTAs will not only engage visitors to our website but also guide them towards meaningful contributions, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about our noble cause.
By consistently emphasizing the impact we make, and by implementing strategic CTAs, we are working to transform this non-profit organization into a potent force for change, ensuring that it can continue its mission to uplift underserved students and provide them with the educational opportunities they deserve. Together, we can make a substantial difference in the lives of countless young minds around the world.
